The theme for 2015 is Light
The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies.
One of the main research fields of physics and technology, light is actually crucial in a number of disciplines, from chemistry and natural sciences to photography, painting, cinema and the arts at large. Focusing the 2015 European Academic Heritage Day on light, Universeum encourages reflection on this multifaceted theme and invites European universities to develop the most varied initiatives around it.
